I've heard it all before...

So blogging, what's it really all about? I have a completely unrelated psychology report due in a couple of weeks, which made me think now would be the perfect time to start a blog!

I've had a bit of a click around at my fellow bloggers wares and from what I can gather, this blogging bit seems to be all about voicing your own original thoughts. Seems easy enough, only problem is I can't remember the last time I actually had to think. Sure, now and again someone (boss/friend/stranger) requests an original opinion or creative idea but generally I manage to subvert these moments by recycling something I've heard elsewhere. Generally that's exaclty what the questioner was after in the first place. Now I think it's all a bit chicken and egg... what came first - death of original thought or society's desire for easy, accesible, no thought required, answers? I've known a few people who fly the flag for originality and up until very recently, these people didn't mix much with mainstream society. Then we invented the internet. All hail the internet. And then there were answers. Now, not only is there an abundance of individual opinion and groups actually encouraging and respecting free-thought, but their opinions are so much easier to steal! If anyone ever asks me ANYTHING, I don't even have to think of someone else's opinion to reguritate.... hello Google my old friend...... so now it's even trickier spotting the fakers and question number new.... does it really matter if they're faking?

Forgive me if the posts that ensue seem like rehashed ideas and you've heard it all before but old habits and all that. I'm new to this thinking lark. It looks like a lot of fun so I thought I'd give it a go....
